Intro to Feral Cats
Here Kitty Kitty!".... STOP. Feral cats are not your basic house cat. They were born in the wild and have no early contact with humans. Feral cats are different from stray cats. Strays typically have lost their way from home and have had previous contact with humans. There are millions of feral cats and can be a real nuisance concern.
Feral or wild cats in Michigan cause home owners to become very frustrated. Feral cats are cats who look exactly like your every day house cat. The only difference between wild cats and house cats is they are untamed and considered wild animals.
Feral Cat Trapping
Feral cats should be trapped and relocated. All of our feral cat trapping is done humanely in live havaheart traps to prevent the cats from damaging their face. We don't do anything with domestic cats. Please call your counties animal control service. This is generally is a free service. We only remove nuisance wildlife cats. The cats are removed just like most wildlife in live traps.
Feral Cat Nuisance Concerns
Feral Cats can live under decks, in sheds, and even move into your garage. They are often found on the front door of homes because of people feeding them. They have many nuisance behaviors such as urinating and defecating in someone's yard or garden, digging in someones yard, jumping on cars, and harassing your house cat. Wild cats can turn mean and lash out at people, scratch and bite them. Not your average house cat!
